读后续写教学案例

读后续写的教学标准是学生通过本节课的学习会用故事山(Story mountain)梳理情节线和情感线,写出完整的语句语段。

新题型遇上新内容,难点是解决学生的畏难情绪,打破学生没有思路,无处下笔的僵局。目标则是让每个学生都动起来参与课堂,并在40分钟内写出一篇150词左右的续写文段。

操作的关键在于先从学生熟悉的内容切入,逐步渗透到目标内容读后续写。因此我对教材进行了二次挖掘和重组,选了一篇教材原文,改编成读后续写课。因为课文一般都在课堂上精讲过,学生已经熟悉材料内容,在这个基础上续写,少了解读材料这一关的难度,上手就容易多了。

接下来将向大家展示如何设计一篇读后续写课,以及具体的环节如何展开。

阅读下面这段材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之成为一篇完整的短文。(注意:续写词数150左右)

(The living room. Friday night. A table and two chairs at front centre. Grandfather and Father, seated at the table, are playing chess.)

Grandfather: And…I win!

(Son enters room)

Father: Not again! Oh look, here comes my boy.How are you, son?

Son: (nervously approaching the table) Erm…Dad, can we talk?

Father: Sure! You know you can always turn to your dad for a chat.

Son: OK. Here it is. I’ ve decided not to go to university. I want to focus on my band and have a career in music when I leave school.

Father: (raising his voice in surprise) You can’ t be serious! What about your future career as a lawyer?!

Son: I knew you’ d say that. You just assume I want to be a lawyer, but that’s only because you are a lawyer.

Father: What’ s wrong with being a lawyer? Lawyers help people and are respected by others.

Son: Yes, but l’ m not interested in law. I want to work in a studio, not a court.

Grandfather:(looking at Father )Calm down. OK?

Father: (ignoring Grandfather’ s words )Stop daydreaming! Playing in a band is not a job.

Son: Of course it is! The music industry is developing fast now. Making music is a job.

Grandfather: (stepping between Father and Son and raising his voice) Hey! I told you to calm down, both of you!

Father: But I told him to study something useful at university!

Grandfather: (laughing) Easy, son! I remember when you were his age, you said that you wanted to be a professional football player.

Father: And you wanted me to be an engineer!

Grandfather: I just wanted you to be happy, and an engineer – a happy engineer.

Father: But in the end, you just advised me to think carefully.

Grandfather: Yes, and you have found the career that suits your talents. I’ m so proud of you. Your son is proud of you, too.

Son: Of course I am, but I have different talents.

Grandfather: (turning to Son) Why don’ t you also take my advice and think carefully before jumping in with both feet?

Son: Well, I could try…

Grandfather: If you go to university and play music at the same time, you will have two options for your future. And l’ m sure playing in a band will help you make lots of new friends at university.

Father: Yes, lots of new lawyer friends!

Son: (with a sigh) Dad….

先来看本节课教学流程的整体设计思路:

1.了解故事梗概。

2. 讨论语篇内容,找出文章主题及作者的写作意图。

3. 梳理情节线和情感线。

4.探讨接下来的情节,让学生能够把这个故事写完。

Step 1: 了解故事梗概

分析这篇文章的6大要素.

When:Friday night

Where:Living room.

Who:Grandfather, Father and Son.

Why:The son wants to have a talk with the father

What:The son wants to play music in a band instead of going to university.The father wants his son to go to university and be a lawyer.

How:The Father and the Son had a quarrel. Grandfather showed up to calm down the   father and the son. Meanwhile, Grandfather gave the son some advice on his future           choice.

Step2.讨论语篇内容,找出文章主题及作者的写作意图。

Read for the theme (Main idea+ writing purpose)

Main idea: Choose your future area of study carefully and keep the balance between your dream and your study.

Writing purpose: Think carefully before jumping in with both feet. Nothing could prevent you from achieving your dream, if you are determined for it.

Step3.梳理情节线和情感线。

合理推测写作情节及情感发展趋势,明确写作方向。

所谓不合理推测,就是想怎么写怎么写,没有任何章法,结局和原文之间没有逻辑关系,与作者意图也没任何关系。一个班50个人能写出来50种结局。或者结局消极,负能量,与社会主流价值观相悖。

而合理推测,就是基于原文的情节发展线索和情感走向,经过逻辑推理,情节架构自然。前后有呼应,情节和情感发展具有一致性,结局积极,正能量。符合主流价值观。

下面我们就以本节课的内容为例具体来看:

3.1不合理推测:

3.1.1.父亲打了儿子,儿子屈从父亲的权威读了法学专业,放弃了自己的梦想。

3.1.2.儿子压根没听进爷爷的建议,离开了学校,成为流浪歌手。

3.1.3. 儿子打了父亲,也没为梦想努力,从此自暴自弃。处处与父亲敌对。

3.2合理推测:

通过story line(故事情节线)来分析情节线和情感线,基于事实推断情节发展趋势和情感走向。

3.2.1儿子听从爷爷的建议,去上大学同时继续做音乐,最后实现梦想。

3.2.2父亲允许儿子继续做音乐,也提供经济支持。但要求儿子必须完成法学的学习。

3.2.3.儿子大学选择了音乐专业的并且完成了学业,最终以做音乐为自己的事业。

Step4. 预测下面的情节,让学生能够把这个故事续写完。

4.1 解读两个段首句,预测后续情节发展.

(段首句邀请班级基础最薄弱的学生站起来解读,因为基础最薄弱的学生读懂了,其他人就都没问题了。)

4.2 确定主题,先写全文最后一句。

(Tip 1 Predict the ending based on the plot and the theme.(reasonable and positive )

What does the story intend to tell readers?

Nothing could prevent you from achieving your dream if you are determined for it.

4.3 根据所给出的两段首句来确定衔接句,也就是第一段的最后一句。

(Tip 2 predict the ending of para1 based on the two given sentences)

He works hard on his subjects and read books as more as possible during the day. After class, he plays music on the playground to relax himself.

4.4 通过提问题梳理出每段要写的情节和情感,罗列相关的词句表达。

(Tip3 infer the plot by making questions: what, why, when… )

4.5 学生通过整理这些问题的答案,写成结构完整的句子,再根据情感线索对词句进行调整润色,完成续写内容。

The Son walks along the pavement in the campus, with his guitar on his back. He joins the school music club and starts to write his own lyrics. Yet without abundant cultural accumulations, his lyrics are so plain. Feeling frustrated, he works hard on his subjects and read books as more as possible during the day. After class, he plays music on the playground to relax himself.

3 years later, The Son becomes the president of the school music club. He forms his band eventually. He gives performances on the streets or in the pubs to make money for the instruments. How surprising that his band is invited by a TV show. He is so grateful that he followed his grandfather’s advice of thinking carefully before jumping in with both feet. Going to university do helps him in his success. Further more, nothing could prevent you from achieving your dreams if you are determined to it.

通过这样的方式,解决了学生在读后续写课上没有思路,无处下笔的难点,实现了让每个学生都能动笔参与读后续写课,并在40分钟内写出一篇150词左右的续写文段的目标。
