The sudden fame brought by Simba led to a variety of activities. Seized by a sense of excitement and crazy enthusiasm, many media reporters were eager to interview me and feature Simba, hoping to make it spread wider and farther. There were requests for photos and stories about her daily life, which they thought were rewarding and inspiring. People from different parts of the world were fascinated by her story and shared their own experiences with cats. I also received an invitation to participate in an event with the aim of improving senior cats’ welfare, where I shared Simba’s story to raise awareness about the importance of taking care of senior cats.
After the event to help senior cats, however, she was overwhelmed by too much attention. Therefore, I decided to give Simba a peaceful life, politely declining most of the media requests and focusing on giving Simba a quiet and comfortable environment. I made sure she had her own space to rest and play, spending more time just playing with her, which made her feel loved and secure. With Simba’s well-being becoming my top priority, I intended to live the rest of her life without any stress. Little by little, I found that Simba became more energetic and happier, thus ensuring me that it was a right choice.
